SAP: Better management facilitates successful growth

SAP’s third ‘Think Bigger Guide’ offers top tips to businesses that think big and grow fast, providing practical advice on what changes can be made to ensure your business achieves maximum growth and success through better management.

London, UK - SAP (UK) Limited has today launched the third in a series of informative and practical guides designed to help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) make business critical decisions which will enable them to grow. This final guide focuses on ‘Management’ and forms part of the ‘Think Bigger Guides’ series which is based on the notion that to succeed in today’s economy, SMEs are encouraged to ‘Think Big, Grow Fast.’ The Management Guide is available to download now at

The guide contains tips and advice on how to tweak your management strategy to have a tangible effect on your business in every area, from employee morale to productivity. In addition, the Guide includes insight from industry peers and research from SAP offering insight into the importance of a management strategy for fast-growing and aspirational SMEs in the UK & Ireland.

Regardless of sector, a common concern is always management. In terms of people management, increasing the number of employees requires adaptions to be made by a company, and the current volatile economic climate doesn’t make planning and forecasting any easier. What is crucial to remember is that management isn’t something you have to do on your own. As well as empowering your business to be better at management, there are great advice forums and business networks which can prove invaluable. The one main differentiator between good and bad management is real-time insight into activity and business information. The ‘Think Bigger Guides’ are part of an ongoing initiative by SAP to support and inspire SMEs in the UK & Ireland. In addition to the guides, SAP has already launched an advice and ideas-sharing website www.thinkbiggrowfast.net. The site combines the thoughts, opinions and advice of a wide range of business leaders, successful SME owners and managers, and some of the country’s top business journalists and thinkers.

The SME market is of significant importance to SAP. These companies account for a large proportion of SAPs revenues and are a major strategic focus for the future growth of the company. Of SAP’s global customers just over 80% are small or medium businesses.
