SAP Recognized for Market Leadership in Utility Solutions

SAP NEWSBYTE - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that leading IT market research advisory firms Gartner and IDC have recognized the company as a market-leading supplier of software and services to utilities companies. SAP is positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the Leaders quadrant of the "Magic Quadrant for Utilities Customer Information Systems."1 IDC recognizes SAP as a leader in its report, "IDC MarketScape: Customer Care and Billing in Competitive Unbundled Energy Markets, 2012 Vendor Assessment."2 The announcement was made at the Metering Billing/CRM Europe conference held October 9-11, 2012, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

More than 600 utilities worldwide use software from the SAP for Utilities solution portfolio for comprehensive management of customer care and billing.
