SAP Supports Developers of the Future through Sponsorship of the Young Rewired State ‘Festival of Code’

SAP NEWSBYTE - SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced its headline sponsorship of the Young Rewired State ‘Festival of Code’. The event, held in multiple locations throughout the UK from 6th to the 12th August 2012, challenges young people to build digital products for mobile and the web using at least one piece of open data.

SAP’s sponsorship of the Young Rewired State ‘Festival of Code’ reinforces SAP’s vision to help the world run better by improving people’s lives. Innovation and economic growth are directly linked to society’s ability to develop individuals with the skills to become entrepreneurial. Events such as the ‘Festival of Code’ provide youngsters in the UK the opportunity to become the next generation of software developers. The skills developed to design and code applications are a valuable asset that reach far beyond of the world of technology and will provide the foundations for future careers and will fuel economic growth.

The Young Rewired State Festival of Code is taking place from 6th – 12th August, with the final being held at The Custard Factory in Birmingham on 11th August, 2012.
