Doubling Down on Industry Strategy, SAP Works with Customers, Partners, and Third-Party Developers to Solve Industry Challenges in the Cloud
SAP has launched industry-specific solutions to the cloud in order to drive customer innovation, the company has announced at its recent SAPPHIRE NOW event.
By combining its unrivalled expertise in industry-specific business processes, with the technical creativity of its global ecosystem and broad customer base, SAP has created a dedicated Industry Cloud organization.
Industry Cloud will use the company’s historic industry strength to develop prescriptive, industry-based cloud road maps that will help simplify and transform businesses. SAP plans to co-innovate with customers and partners to deliver industry-specific solutions expected to rapidly proliferate across the 25 industries SAP serves.

SAP HANA Delivers One Modern Platform for Business in the Cloud
Industry Cloud solutions are intended to run on SAP Cloud powered by SAP HANA via SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, a fully managed, subscription-based cloud service used by customers today to run mission-critical SAP applications and manage vast amounts of Big Data all on one real-time business platform.
SAP HANA is the modern platform that empowers customers to transform their businesses and innovate in the cloud. This includes new innovations, key features and functionalities for SAP HANA, mobile, analytics, data services and cloud integration services delivered through beautiful and open user interfaces.
SAP also announced SAP Simple Finance, based on SAP HANA in SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud, which delivers real time insights to CFOs and finance departments worldwide.

Customer success was front and centre at SAPPHIRE NOW, including Kawasaki Motors Corp., USA; Jo-Ann Stores, Mediafly, The Timken Company, Bentley Systems Inc., AkzoNobel.
By fostering strategic collaborations with partners, including Red Hat, IBM, HP and VMware, as well as startups, SAP plans to offer customers broader choice, ease of deployment and simplified IT environments. One key SAP partnership is with Accenture the HP Enterprise Group to help clients more rapidly and cost-effectively adopt and deploy the SAP HANA platform through an innovative subscription based model.
