Women’s Day celebration: March 8, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune

SAP Labs India transformed the women's day celebrations into week celebrating womanhood and diversity. The focus was on networking, technology and empowerment. There were online contests, medical camps, grooming sessions, and fun activities across the SAP Labs India locations throughout the week.

SLI celebrated its own brilliant women employees, who have achieved greatness despite difficult personal circumstances, in a project titled "women of substance". On May 8, the Bangalore employees were also treated to an experience express session with Neelam Chhiber, the co-founder of Industree, a social enterprise that connects rural producers to urban markets. A session titled the Balancing Act – Avoiding the Super Woman Syndrome, devoted to creating a more fulfilling experience for women professionals, irrespective of the pressures, was conducted at Gurgaon on the occasion of Women's day. In Pune, there was a talk on "Making it work when you both go to work" by Ms.Tara Kuruvilla, about families in which both partners are professionals. There were also various coding contests, specifically for women, several networking opportunities for women employees, and grooming sessions for women managers at SLI. To further the health and wellness of female colleagues, a cervical cancer awareness camp was organized in Bangalore. There was ample scope for enjoyment with a performance by the musical group "Dwi"- an alternative Hindi pop act with a generous dollop of Indian folk, and stalls selling products ranging from hand painted T-shirts, hand-made jewelry and soaps, to recycled bottles transformed into useful artifacts!

The Women's day celebration was an organizational commitment to diversity, and a pledge to run better together.
