SAP® PartnerEdge® Program for Application Development Gains Global Momentum
SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced details on the adoption of the SAP® PartnerEdge® program for Application Development, as well as extensions to its scope. Introduced in July 2013, the program offers a standardized approach that gives partners access to market-leading technologies from SAP relevant for building innovative applications for enterprises and consumers. It includes first-class enablement, technology support and a broad range of go-to-market options supported by SAP® Store as well as a runtime licensing model designed to enable the partner to sell self-sufficiently. The announcement was made at SAP® TechEd, being held October 21-25 in Las Vegas.
SAP PartnerEdge for Application Development is enjoying rapid adoption worldwide. Today, SAP counts approximately 400 members in 43 countriesi with more than 150 partner apps already published on SAP Store. The program website, www.sapadpc.com, receives about 500 online visitors per day, resulting in an average of five new applications daily.

Partners are able to choose from a set of innovation packs focused on the latest platform technologies from SAP to build applications that serve their customers’ evolving needs. Organizations such as Critigen are already finding significant benefits with the new program.

In pursuit of its objective to make all SAP technologies relevant for building applications available within the program, the company also announced further extensions of the technology scope beyond the available innovation packs for mobile, SAP HANA® Cloud Platform, SAP HANA® platform and databases and application integration. Partners will be able to leverage SAP® BusinessObjects™ business intelligence (BI) solutions for building applications under the program and, via another new innovation pack, will be able to build add-ons for the SAP® Business One solution. Furthermore, the innovation pack for SAP HANA Cloud Platform is getting enhanced to support the integration of extensions to solutions from SuccessFactors, an SAP company.
The enhanced technology scope will enable partners to address further market opportunities and customer needs. Supported by its modularity, the program will continue to track the evolution of the SAP technology portfolio and offer partners prompt access to the latest technology innovations.
