A subsidiary of SAP AG, SAP Australia and New Zealand has grown from humble roots in 1989 to become one of the most successful companies operating in the region. Today, SAP Australia and New Zealand employs more than 600 people serving more than 2,000 customers (200 of which are New Zealand customers) in major industries, including the public sector, manufacturing, mining, retail and consumer packaged goods, utilities and telecommunications, and financial services.

  • Andrew Barkla
    President and Managing Director
    SAP Australia and New Zealand

    Andrew Barkla Andrew Barkla is President and Managing Director of SAP Australia and New Zealand. He joined SAP in July, 2012 from Unisys, where he was Regional Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific and Japan. In his role, Barkla is responsible for all the business operations of SAP in Australia and New Zealand.

    Barkla brings to the position 20 years of local and international business experience. He was responsible for the strategy and performance of the Unisys business across 13 countries, led the Technology Consulting and Systems Integration Business Unit in the region, and was a member of the Unisys Global Executive Committee.

    Prior to Unisys, Barkla was Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific at PeopleSoft, where he was charged with developing a successful go-to-market and growth strategy. Previously, he was Managing Director for System Software Associates (SSA) in Australia and New Zealand.

    He holds an Hon.BBA from the School of Business and Economics, Wilfrid Laurier University, Ontario, Canada.

  • Greg Miller
    Chief Operating Officer

    Greg Miller Greg Miller is Chief Operating Officer of SAP Australia and New Zealand. He joined SAP in September, 2012 from Unisys, where he was of Regional Vice President, Portfolio and Sales Operations, Asia Pacific and Japan. As COO, Miller is responsible for Presales, Inside Sales, Value Engineering, Industry Principals, Value University and Sales Operations.

    Miller has more than 20 years of local and international experience in sales and business operations. He was responsible for the successful launch of the Unisys Sales Centre of Excellence, a first of its kind globally which supported a $700M business.

    Prior to Unisys, Miller held senior sales positions with Peoplesoft, Seibel and Oracle.

    Miller has a strong interest in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, and was a Director of PeopleSofts’ PeopleSoft Involved CSR program, introducing employee volunteering, fund-raising activities and establishing partnerships with a number of charities and non-government organisations in Australia.

    He has a Bachelor of Science (Marketing) from Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado.

  • Richard McLean
    Chief Financial Officer

    Richard McLean Richard is currently the Chief Financial Officer of SAP Australia and New Zealand, leading an organization of approximately 40 staff across Core Finance, Legal & Contracts, Facilities, Purchasing and IT. Before joining SAP in May 2008, Richard held a number of senior Finance positions in the APJ IT sector, initially with Peoplesoft and more recently, Microsoft. Richard was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and studied in Dundee, Scotland. He then spent 12 years working in the UK in the Investment Banking (Merrill Lynch) and the Automotive (Unipart) industries, before relocating to Australia in 2003.

  • Graeme Riley
    Managing Director, SAP New Zealand

    Graeme Riley Graeme Riley took on the role of Managing Director, SAP New Zealand in January 2009. Graeme joined SAP from Infor where he was VP Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong. He was responsible for Infor's strategic solutions and channels businesses across the region.

    Graeme has extensive enterprise software experience, a successful track record in leading software businesses throughout Asia Pacific and deep knowledge of the New Zealand market.

  • Mark Hettler
    Director, Active Global Support

    Mark Hettler Mark is responsible for SAP‘s support and maintenance business, which services customers and their SAP products in the ANZ region. This role includes the additional responsibility of both SAP‘s proactive support service and the company‘s premium maintenance activities, including supporting customers during software upgrades.

    Mark and his team of 48 work closely with customers to improve the efficiency and stability of their SAP environments, which benefits customers by helping them leverage and maximise their investments in SAP systems.

    Mark first joined SAP in 2006 as Active Global Performance Centre of Expertise (CoE) Manager. Prior to joining SAP, he worked with IBM Global Business Services for over eight years.

    Mark has worked in the IT industry for over 15 years and has previously worked in global and national institutions such as BHP Billiton, Lend Lease and the Australian Taxation Office.

  • Ray Kloss
    Head of Marketing, SAP Australia and New Zealand

    Ray Kloss Ray Kloss is the Head of Marketing for SAP Australia and New Zealand. He joined SAP in June 2005 after many years’ experience in large software projects from all sides of projects including sales, marketing, delivery and the customer side. He has lived and worked on these projects across North America, China, India, Japan and now over a decade in Australia. His diverse background enables him to bring a deep experience of the customer journey.

    Before coming to SAP Kloss was responsible for Product and Industry Marketing for PeopleSoft APJ. Prior to this he had multiple roles at Hewlett Packard, including marketing manager for online services, business development for HP’s ANZ SAP practice and sales director of HP’s Asia Pacific E-services Division. In his earlier career Kloss worked with HR, Payroll and CRM at Lend Lease, ERP Channels at IBM and ERP implementation at General Motors.

  • Lisa Christy
    Director, Human Resources

    Lisa Christy Lisa Christy is Director of Human Resources, SAP ANZ, responsible for supporting SAP's business and enabling the success of the organisation through its human capital. This involves recruiting and retaining top talent, developing and leading employee engagement and building leadership readiness through career development plans.

    Lisa has more than 20 years of professional HR experience, working mainly in the IT industry. In her most recent appointment, as Senior HR Manager, Microsoft Australia, she focused on developing leadership capabilities and management excellence. Lisa was previously Senior HR Director at Gartner Asia Pacific, managing the HR strategy and operations across 12 countries. Prior to joining Gartner Lisa worked at Oracle as HRBP and Compensation & Benefits manager for 5 years.
