    • SAP Enterprise Asset Management, part two. Asset operations and maintenance.
    • In this demonstration, you'll see how the SAP Enterprise Asset Management solution and other integrated software from SAP allows you to
    • approve work done by external resources, confirm work done by internal resources, and review work order costs.
    • Enabling you to manage assets so you can balance asset cost-to-run and cost-to-maintain,
    • balance performance and productivity, and improve continual operation and profitability.
    • Approve work done by external resources. Joe Garner is a maintenance purchaser at the utility company.
    • He needs to verify and approve the service entry sheet submitted by the vendor.
    • Once he accepts the service entry sheet, the external services cost will be updated in the work order.
    • The light shows that the service entry sheet has been accepted. The buyer − or another authorized user − can review the services entered and approve them.
    • Confirm work done by internal resources. Jeff Smith is a maintenance worker for the utility.
    • Jeff Smith is a maintenance worker for the utility. He selects the assignment from the list of open jobs and looks at the job card to see what work was required.
    • Here, he can check any documents or objects that are assigned to the job. Now he starts to process the work performed on this job.
    • Once the work is completed, he can enter his time and any findings.
    • He can either confirm the job as planned, or select "edit and confirm," and make any changes that are needed.
    • He also can create a notification for follow up or other issues. Jeff enters and confirms the number of hours spent to repair the leaking seal.
    • Now, in just a few steps, he checks the data for the maintenance post-check. He adds the damage codes and saves his changes to confirm the work performed on this job.
    • Review work order costs. Now that the job is complete, Mark Stephen, the maintenance planner, can review the costs.
    • Costs are tracked on the work order in real time as resources are utilized, and a full cost report is available.
    • Mark chooses the pump repair job to display the maintenance order. In the overview, he sees that actual costs are slightly lower than planned costs.
    • As you have seen, with integrated software from SAP, you can approve work done by external resources,
    • confirm work done by internal resources, and review work order costs, so you can better manage your assets.
