    • SAP Document Access by Open Text and SAP Archiving by Open Text. SAP Document Access and SAP Archiving help organizations access and manage all types of documents relating to transactions and processes run by SAP software. This demonstration shows how SAP Document Access and SAP Archiving allow you to scan and attach a document to a sales order, access and annotate a document directly from a transaction, and gain a 360-degree view of document-enriched processes. Enabling you to securely store and attach documents to SAP transactions, improve productivity with easy access to relevant information, and gain a comprehensive view of key business processes. Scan and attach a document to a sales order. Stephen Jenkins is a sales assistant. He has received a complaint letter about a damaged shipment. He uses SAP Archiving to scan in the letter and attach it to the sales order. He can see the scanned letter in the application. With just a few clicks, he can find the sales order and attach the scanned letter. He selects Sales & Distribution from a list of preconfigured scenarios. He then selects the appropriate document type. He can search for the sales order, or enter the order number. When he enters the number, the software presents the sales order. When Stephen confirms the information, the software securely stores the letter and attaches it to the sales order. Access and annotate a document directly from a transaction. Katrin Miller is a sales employee. She needs to resolve the customer complaint. She can quickly find the sales order and see relevant information. She then uses SAP Archiving to access all attached documents. She opens the complaint letter that Stephen Jenkins attached to the sales order. She highlights the portion of the letter that describes the problem. She also adds a note informing the account manager that the issue has been resolved. The software automatically adds her username and a timestamp to keep track of key information. Gain a 360-degree view of document-enriched processes. Michael Thompson is an account manager. He uses SAP Document Access to quickly get complete information about all his accounts. He starts with the Sales & Distribution document hierarchy, which gives him a 360-degree view of all orders and deliveries. He then simply enters the customer name. He can browse customer information by orders, deliveries, or invoices, giving him access to the entire order-fulfillment process. He drills down for a list of all orders for the customer. He wants to investigate the order the customer complained about. He can see all documents attached to the order, including e-mails from the customer, the order confirmation, and the complaint letter. Michael views the sales order in the familiar Microsoft Word environment. Now he wants to view the complaint letter. He can see the highlighted portion of the letter and the note from Katrin Miller explaining that the problem has been resolved. Next, he wants to get more information about the delivery. With just a few clicks, he can display the transaction and see delivery status. Finally, he checks the associated invoice. SAP Document Access by Open Text and SAP Archiving by Open Text allow you to securely store and attach documents to SAP transactions, improve productivity with easy access to relevant information, and gain a comprehensive view of key business processes.
